Weddings

Oh the fun and light-heartedness of weddings. <3!

I had the pleasure of attending my cousin's wedding last weekend and am pleased to share a few fun photos. I have honestly never been that emotional crying girl at any events because I find crying to be so draining! Sooo I inject laugher and silly joking with every opportunity possible. You can see a bit of footage here.

The ceremony was beautiful (of course) and the weather's warm comfortable breeze was a perfect companion.

As the music played, I realized I had a terrible problem with not staying still. The joy and excitement of the day was too overbearing so sitting still would have been a ridiculous goal.

The hotel offered many different sights to see but we must insert a simple formal picture to show off the outfits!

The gorgeous table settings offered fancy butter balls, bubbly ball plates, macaroons, and giant flower vases.

We had to finish off the night with fun photo booth poses...and then we posed with our posed photos.

Lately...

Unfortunately (not really) it's been a bit busier so blogging has fallen to the side but this is temporary, I have every intention of coming back to redeem my honor...not to be overly dramatic...

Ahem. Anyway, here are a few snippets of my life to express what has been going on in the past two weeks =)

Short captions are all I need to convey the moments.

My Morning - a short story by Ophelia N

I woke up thinking it was late into the afternoon but as I turned to see the 8:50am clock flashing back at me, I realized my efforts to sleep in have failed.

I cursed a little to myself.

I tossed and turned for about an hour trying to trick myself into going back to sleep (this is a bit of a challenge for me most days) I realized later that I had engaged in five games of Scramble With Friends with each of my sisters so I got up.

And then I cursed a little to myself.

I walked downstairs and began to make myself a cup of tea and a few over-easy eggs. In the midst of cracking open my second egg, I realized I had the Katy Perry "Wide Awake" song stuck in my head.

Continuing on the cursing.

Now I sit here in my room with my coffee and cooked eggs staring out into a gloomy Wednesday. I wonder how fireworks would look against a gray sky. Then I realized Katy Perry has another song called "Fireworks."

It's one of those days.
