But the fog still followed.
Over an hour into the drive we began to see more through the heavy overcast skies. Crowds of people gathered at different Vista Points and we decided to stop at this one.
The sun peeked through and we were all overjoyed.
But of course we had to move on so up the mountain we continued. The seaside would disappear here and there while the forest greenery grew more abundant. Finally after three and a half hours later, we arrived at the Julia Phieffer Burns State Park.
Of course at this point the fog became quite the joke. We could barely see through to the bottom of the grove but I am guessing it would be gorgeous on a sunny day.
At the end of our little hike we knew that scenery conditions never mattered. It was the journey and the people who accompany you on your journey that matters. We still had a lot of fun.
And we never stopped being weirdos.
