Nada Mas

Ten hours total. For Monday. AHHHH

But who cares? I'm done! I pushed through the last Fading pages of my powerpoint presentation and all that is left is to actually present my presentation. That would sound so funny if that sentence were said out loud.

Today's agenda goes like this:
10:00 - present powerpoint
1:00 - field trip! a tour of the OFG company in Irvine
3:00 - return to home
6:00 - off to the airport!
9:00pm - flying off to Orlando, Florida...Woosh!

But let's not get ahead of ourselves and just try to get through the first hour.

Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure:

This is what my room looks like during the busy term... ick.

Let's play a game! It's called, Where's WOphe?

There I am!

I'm practically blended into the... monster.
Btw, do you notice that I have TWO laptops! One facing me and the other one facing my back...er..

Anyway, there is going to be a bit of a gap between upcoming posts since I am trying my best to finish my summer class project and preparing for our Florida tournament trip.

See how hard we're working?

Oddly, this is my competition face.

Speaking of odd things that have happened- my dad was walking into the "Library Room," a.k.a. the room with bookshelves, and accidentally stepped onto a bee! After the painful yelling, I relieved him of his pain by pulling the stinger out of the fourth swollen toe. As he nursed his pain with a Toy Story icepack, Olivia found an article on Yahoo talking about the possibilities of bumblebees becoming endangered. AHAHAH

Anyway, I will try to keep up and share my experiences on this blog with all my lovely readers so...I promise that next time- I will actually go downstairs to retrieve the camera cord to upload current pictures instead of relying on previously uploaded ones. Teehee

But you know how I am! Lazy and rebellious!

HDD! Happy Dad's Day!

John N. - excellent athlete (high ranks in track & field, badminton, and basketball), skillful businessman, and wonderful father.

Are we talking about the same person?!

Despite all the impressive qualities, all I know is that my dad is a kook. An oddball. Someone who will purposely sneeze on us for a laugh. Someone who took a few judo classes and has since attempted to flip us over numerous times. Someone who will call home from long distance business trips to ask if we have watered the lawn for him. Yes, that is the John I know.

Happy Dad's Day!

We spent the day doing regular house chores: mowing the lawn, washing the cars, planting plants (I was doing hw at that point) but overall the day was full of laughs and jabs at each other. Our grand finale gift to our dad was not the typical. For our atypical father, we went to Home Depot and bought six different types of plants for Farmer J to add to his garden.

And here comes the pictures!

HAPPY DAD DAY!

Bah, I'm giving up on homework for the night.

...well, my eyes are slowly beginning to droop down and zzzzz

Today was hair trim day! Not a huge difference on my end (more of a difference for Odona) but I did get it drastically thinned out. My goodness my hair is thick, I was afraid the hairdresser's scissors were going to get stuck in there.

Dear May,
Don't worry about being bored at work, it really is just practice for being bored during next semester! Cheers!

Right now we're having a sleepover party in LB! I was sitting in my room doing homework (boo) while Odona was in her room playing with her DS and the other three (Jeanne + Olivia + Jimmy = JOJ) watched 'Whale Wars' ... which is ironic since we are going whale watching tomorrow...

anyway-

check out what they did to me this time!

Laker Nation, are you there?

Tomorrow is the NBA Finals Game 7 between the LA Lakers and the Boston Celtics! I am most definitely a Laker fan although I am constantly complimenting people who deserve compliments. This means if Boston scores a good point, well then they deserve the "wow-nice" so there. I try to be fair.

I have two more weeks until the end of my summer school session (finishing a week early) and the tkd competition and I am starting to get a bit stressed. It feels like too little time to finish the project and head off to Florida already. But I suppose I need to go with the flow. Life is always evolving and this was a decision I made to attend this tournament so I must tread forth.

We visited the Heery Architects Firm today and was able to sit with two different Reps from OFG and from J&J-Something-I-Forgot. It was really interesting to get that first hand knowledge of the practical working world. They told us steps from phase one till phase ten. Boy, what did I get myself into...

I'm so tired! This rush of activity is difficult for lazy me. My lazy cannot keep up! For now, I will just go with the flow and hope for the best. How is your summer going?

I am a failure at waking up early.

Since I screwed up my sleeping schedule in hopes of catching up with my projects (not yet successful) I didn't wake up in time to make the PiYo class at 9:30am. PiYo = Pilates & Yoga...Yes! We DID decide to try to make a few early classes at the gym. Second time's the charm for tomorrow's 24S.E.T. 10:30am class! I'll let you know how that goes! =D

Since we DID miss today's workout, we decided to use the day to go to Old Town Pasadena for some Cheesecake Factory, Forever 21, Lush, and Coffee Bean.

Other than that, this week has been a bit busier than anticipated so yes I am slacking at blog posts once again but I'm trying to catch up!

*On a side note, I just realized that I have 10 followers now! Wowwie! Thank you so much to those who have honored me with your "Follow" heheh

Ok, back to my update.

School's been alright and quite informative. Tkd has been more demanding with having all us competitors putting in more time to train for the big tourney. And the rest of my time has been dedicated to hang out with sisters, friends, and family.

I am starting to feel more excited for this big competition but still a bit resistant to spending so much of my "free" time practicing the same forms over and over again. But even though I am very prone to complaining, I am also very dedicated to making each practice count.

Here are more pictures!

Has everyone finished school yet? Time for some summer relaxation? Let us end this with a song:

Here comes the sun,
do do do do
Here comes the sun,
And I say,
It's all right,
do do do do do do

...it made sense to me

Holy Guacamole it's hot.

I believe summer's coming? Hm... The beads of sweat dripping uncontrollably seem to agree.

...TMI?

I am going to proceed with caution this summer! Less sunburns in 2010! That's the goal and let's see how we do. First thing's first- you need SPF!

I swear I'm not purposely flipping you off. It just happens sometimes.

Yes, you are reading this correctly, you DO need SPF 50 & 70 to protect yourself from the sun's warmth and happiness. Darn you, sun.

I am sitting here trying to do my summer school *groan* homework and I must admit that I am failing. It's like: write down something, research online, check email, look at twitter, write something else, erase, go back to youtube, go research, oops - back to youtube.

How's a gal suppose to concentrate?

Well, I am actually enjoying my summer right now so this whole "must finish the project a week early" idea is not going well...maybe I should spend my time doing something more productive.

So apparently there is something called the 'duck face' which basically describes people who pout out their lips while simultaneously sucking in their cheeks to appear cute and pretty.

I have decided to try it my way.

Ah. Sexy.

Guess where I went today.

The Zoo?

Guess again.

The Doctor's?

Nope.

The White House?

Close.

I went to the gym! My first real gym experience because Jimmy talked us gals into trying it out so we managed to weasel our way in for a free day. First off, a yoga class! It was very interesting and difficult only to be intensified when more people continued to arrive. Pretty soon, I was trying to do Downward Dog while keeping an eye on my front neighbor for fear that she would accidentally kick me in the face.

Next up, weights to find Jimmy! I walked up to him and mock-hit on him only to have him just smile, ignore, and continue working. Boo.
It was still lots of fun walking around and trying all the weight machines. Perhaps that is not the correct way to explain that but anyway, all the machines that are not cardio. We worked on calves, thighs, biceps, triceps, deltoids, etc.

My arm's looking pretty good.

Then I worked out some more and my GUNS looked amazing!

Not really.

Anyway, my arms are sore because they are weakies and they tried to cop on me early on. I don't know if I will go back too often. We are scheduled to talked to a Howard tomorrow about getting a free 24 day pass as a trial. Let's see if I can get through the night as everything seems heavier... oof.

Oh yes, er.. hello, blog.

I know! Ever since I allowed myself to stop writing consistently on this blog I have really not touched it...lazy ass.

Ok I am back! I will try to update at least once every few days (because May will say something!) and try to make my life seem interesting.

That is incredibly difficult since the past week was mostly dedicated to tkd and training for our big July tournament. BUT we did actually attend a tournament on Saturday for our regular Black Belt Club members. It was the Taekwondo International Festival held in City of Industry? The "?" is inserted because googlemaps pulled a fast one on me again and changed the city when I typed in the full address. I suppose city lines are constantly being rewritten but anyway that is besides the point.

We arrived at the Industry Expo Center at 8am only to find that the arena seemed to resemble -oh I don't know- a rodeo?! Odd? Yes. True? Yes again.

There was a ring of bleachers that surrounded a covered dirt floor and a raised center square of mats. The surrounding barn-like structures smelled pungent with manure and even though there were no horses or bulls in sight, I felt like we had just arrived at a carnival.

Overall the tournament was incredibly long as they dragged on and delayed many matches. I felt that it was disorganized and way too energy consuming to be worth going to so I was glad to hear that our Master declared not to return next year.

Then Sunday became 'Relax to the Max!' day (yes, I DID make that up) and I spent it hanging out with Jimmy in the day time and Queena, my old elementary friend of 14 years, in the night time.

Monday began with dimsum in the morning with G-ma. Unfortunately it was a holiday so we waited almost an hour to get a table for seven and could not scarf down the food fast enough. If you have never been to dimsum, you should really consider trying it out. The food is quite delicious (for the most part) and do not be intimidated to order. I think most places are use to people just pointing to the containers =)
We did have to make time to train a bit during the evening and after a quick dinner, followed by a quick shower, I headed back to Long Beach.

Today was our first summer school class day. Being the first day, it was light and just overwhelming with a tinge of intimidation. After the class, my friends and I headed to the South Coast Plaza to shop and walk and enjoy our one and only day of relaxation before summer school frenzy begins.

I bought the MAC shadow in Sweet and Punchy thinking it was a lovely lime green color that felt just summery enough. Unfortunately in the sunlight, the swatch turned out so yellow that it became more of a tacky gold on me so I returned it for Steamy instead. I know the second picture really isn't as great as the first as the lighting is different.

That's all folks!
